Purchasing a New Heatpump or Air Conditioner

Purchasing a new heating or cooling system for your home can be a nerve racking task. If it’s time to replace an aging or worn out equipment we are here to help make the process easier for you.

Your heating & cooling system is one of the biggest uses of energy in your home but it doesn’t have to be as costly. A heatpump or air conditioner’s performance is measured by System Efficiency Ratio (SER™). SER™ is a relatively new standard in the air conditioning industry. Replacing an operating heatpump or air conditioner
Before quoting to replace your existing system, as an NCI certified contractor we measure the SER™ of your system. The test reveals the ratio of actual cooling delivery compared to the rated amount the equipment produced when the manufacturer tested the equipment. For example, if an air conditioner worked perfectly, it would be rated at a CSER™ of 100%. But if it only delivered half the cooling, the CSER would be 50%. In simple terms, a 16 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) air conditioner could only operate like 8 SEER equipment.

We test your existing equipment first to determine your actual delivered efficiency to the home, then we can recommend the best solution for you based on your needs and requests of the new equipment.
